Would you love for your child to learn the basic of sewing? It's a skill I've never forgotten and used my entire life. They will learn the basics over 6 afternoons, it's fine if you can make one of two as they can catch up. Just send me a message

About the class
Children will learn the art and science of hand sewing. Not only is learning how to sew invaluable it develops fine motor skills, helps concentration and aids well-being.
- Learning how to sew opens up so many opportunities in the future, eg. seamstress, interior designer, fashion designer etc. But also it teaches invaluable skills that they'll never forget and even pass on to their children in the future.
What will we cover?
- threading a needle and tying off
- how to hem
- make a dart
- darn
- make alterations
- understanding patterns
- understanding materials, eg. warp & weft of fabrics
- up-cycle & embellish a garment of there own.
This will be a small class on no more than 10 children
